He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice "Mose" J. O'Connell and Agnes E. O'Connell (Sullivan); his wife Elizabeth Ann Kuenzel; his greatest love Elizabeth "Betty" O'Connell (Kuenzel); and his close friend Robert Charles O'Connell.
He is survived by: his sister Maureen Godlewski (O'Connell); his sons, Dr. J. Michael O'Connell, Jr. (Fred Rocco) and Maurice D. O'Connell (Liz O'Connell); his daughter-in-law MaryEllen O'Connell (Harper); and his grandchildren, Christopher Harper O'Connell, Elliott Giosuè O'Connell and Charlotte Kuenzel O'Connell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, several cousins and so many amazing friends and classmates.
