With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Schantz (Saratoga Springs, New York), who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Schantz and Anne M. Finley Schantz; his stepfather William Meissner Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Schantz and Bruce Poillon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jodi Carner (Ken) of Corinth, NY, Jill Norton (Jim) of Lake Luzerne, NY and Jami Deuel (Ron) of Lake Luzerne, NY; his siblings, Paul Schantz of Canton, MI, Bill Meissner (Linda) of Troy, NY, Beth Poillon of Clifton Park, NY, Carol Crowley (Bill) of Clifton Park, NY, Sue Duncan (Moe) of Troy, NY, Gail Schillinger of Troy, NY and Anne Whitcher (Terry) of Clifton Park, NY; his grandchildren, Alicia McMahon (Alan), Adam Norton, Christopher Deuel, Michael Deuel, Alisa Deuel and Tigre Lily Carner; and his great grandchild Bricen McMahon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
