He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Armstrong and Mary "Mae" McKinney Armstrong; his sister Mary Pat Armstrong Ottman (Willard); his nephew Kilian Ottman; and his brothers-in-law, Richard and Donald Woodcock.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Woodcock Armstrong; his children, David, Fay Carter (John Lister) and Danna O'Connell (Terry); his granddaughters, Jessica Marcy and Morgan Lister; and his great grandchildren, James and David Marcy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
