He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Eckert and Leona Mingay Eckert; and his siblings, Ruth Staiger, June Eighmey and James Eckert.
He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Eckert (Dick) of Saratoga Springs, Mary L. Gomez of Metairie, LA and Josephine Armstrong of Sanford, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
