He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald LaVarnway and Rose Marie LaVarnway (Ryan); and his sister Deanna Cox. He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Jost; his sons, Michael LaVarnway (Lisa Dumais) and Daniel (Karen LaVarnway); his siblings, Donald M. (Susan LaVarnway), Dale (Helen LaVarnway), Greg LaVarnway, Mary Lou (Gerd Kinert) and Sharon Defayette; his brother-in-law William Cox; his grandsons, Brandon LaVarnway (Rachael Christiana), Jacob LaVarnway and Jesse LaVarnway; his great grandchild Sawyer LaVarnway; his stepgrandchildren, Kelly Drollette, Kyle Drollette, DJ and Abby; and also, William Jost, Eric and Liz Jost. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
