It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Hoffer (Saranac Lake, New York), born in Queens, New York, who passed away on September 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Catherine Davin and William Garrett; her children, Susan Hoffer (Bruce Rowe), Cathleen Hoffer (Keith Clement), James Hoffer (Hilda Hoffer) and William Hoffer (Jean Hoffer); her grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen (Lisa), Andrea (Kevin), Courtney, Nathaniel, Johanna and Emma; her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Olivia and Caleb; and also Marjie. She was also cherished by her siblings, and many of her nieces and nephews.
She wanted no donations to be made in her name, stating instead it would be nice if everyone just "loved each other gently and deeply and (with a twinkle in her eye) saved their money for a rainy day.".
