Alma Sawyer Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alma Sawyer of Saranac Lake, New York, born in Redford, New York, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Charbonneau and Jane Charbonneau; her husband Gordon R. Sawyer (Reggie); her daughters, Regina Benware (Tom) and Bonnie Easton (Chuck); her grandson Seth Arlington Sawyer; and her great grandchild Hope Arise Trudeau.

She is survived by: her friend Betty Dora; and her children, Judy O'dell (Charlie) of Saranac Lake, Susan Andrews (Glenn) of Plattsburgh, Sherry Knapp (Paul) of Lake Clear, Donna Trudeau Cantwell (Bobby) of Onchiota and Gordon Sawyer (Carol) of Rainbow Lake. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends attending in person calling hours and funeral services are asked to please follow all COVID-19 recommendations including social distancing and wearing a mask. Due to the extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic the Sawyer family understands that it may make it difficult for some to attend.
