He was predeceased by: his sibling Serafina Albert Meehan. He is survived by: his wife Rita Stravalaci (Palumbo); his daughters, Angela Sepanski (Scott), Louise Petrie (Mark) and Linda Grear (Scott); his grandchildren, Stephanie Trimper (Robert), Eric Sepanski, Joseph Petrie (Lucia), Jessica Grear and C. Jacob Grear; and his great grandchildren, Christopher and Alice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's name may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
