It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Schiffert (Sanborn, New York), born in Lockport, New York, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Schiffert and Irene [Keller] Schiffert; his wife Ann Ruth; and his siblings, Cornelius, Jr., Gerald, Gordon, John Schiffert, Mary Burns and Virginia Barnwell.
He is survived by: his children, Vince (Leslie), Peter (Michele), Wayne (Mary), Edward (Patricia), Susan and Beverly Schiffert; and his grandchildren, Christian, Ethan, Sarah, Constance, Hamilton, Paige, Sebastian, Lydia and Aaron. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Tuscarora Nation Cemetery Fund.
