He is survived by: his daughters, Cassandra Hurtgam (Jay) and Amanda Clough (Justin); his grandchildren, Emma, Justin and Allison; his sisters, Gail Nichols (Walter) and Cynthia Tighe (James); and his nephew Riley Tighe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.
