He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Collins and Loretta Collins (Bishop). He is survived by: his wife Ida R. Collins (Milich); and his son Robert B. Collins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc. (337 Hudson St, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church (340 Hudson St, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520).
