He was predeceased by: his parents, Solveig Holmes and Robert Vincent Holmes; and his sister Carole Holmes. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. (Nora) of Lakeville, CT, Nancy Doyle (Stephen) of Wappingers Falls, NY and Susan Rotondi (David) of Concord, NH.; his grandchildren, Douglas, Connor, Liam, Kayla and Alison; his sister Marjorie Wassmer of Hawley, PA; and his nephew Daniel Wassmer.
