With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth James of Salem, New York, born in Richford, Vermont, who passed away on March 4, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Blair and Glendora Blair (Pollender); her son John Dutcher; her sisters, Gail Wood and Joyce Taft; her stepsons, Eugene James, Jr. and Matthew James; and her stepgrandson Scott Palmer, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Eugene James; her sons, Melvin Dutcher (Mary) of Kingsbury, Bernard Dutcher (Martina) of Fort Edward, Gordon Dutcher (Barbara) of Gansevoort and Mike Dutcher (Melody) of Queensbury; her stepdaughters, Verna Palmer of Whitehall, Rene Lafrancis of Whitehall and Alzona Gilbert of Hudson Falls; her sisters, Ruby Hafner (Floyd) of Weir, NH and Linda Watson of Bennington; and her aunt Reba of Richford, VT.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Masks are required and social distancing must be observed. With COVID guidelines, 40 people are permitted in the funeral home at one time.
