He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Vassar and Ethel Aiken Vassar; his wife Lois Sankey Vassar; and his brother Kenneth Vassar. He is survived by: his sons, Roy (Nancy O'Brien) and Edward "Skeet" (Joyce); and his brother Tom Vassar of Ellicottville, NY.
