He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Payne and Ruth Brines Payne; his son James William Payne; and his brothers, Duane Payne and Lewis Payne.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Payne Harrington of Salamanca, NY, Kassie Payne Spittler of Mount Vernon, OH, Deanna "Dee" Teeft of Cattaraugus, NY and Tina Payne (Timothy English) of Little Valley, NY; and his sister Diane Ackerman of Hume, NY. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great- grandchildren.
