It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard A. Smida of Saint Johnsville, New York, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smida and Eva Smida (Machovic); his son Bruce; and his brothers, John and Paul Smida.
He is survived by: his children, Richard of Bridgeport, CT and Donna Kenyon (Sean) of Rotterdam; his grandchildren, Riley Kenyon and Seanna Kenyon; his great grandchild Peyton; his brother Robert Smida; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Miles and Bonnie Smith. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Funeral Home. A prayer was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. Until COVID took that away, he never went back because of the new rules.
