Edna C. Carter Obituary
In loving memory of Edna C. Carter of Saint Johnsville, New York, who departed this world on December 2, 2024 at the age of 94. Edna leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Waufle and Marion Waufle Abel (Keller); her husband Richard F. Carter; her children, James F. Carter (Donna Caponera Carter) and Ellen Carol Carter; her brothers, Albert, Ivan (Alberta) and Richard; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Jones, Sr. and William Carter; her nephew Kenneth Jones, Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Carter and Marion Smith (Dolly); and also Pat Carter.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Carter (Sharon Flanders) of St. Johnsville and Roger Carter (Joan) of Herkimer; her sister Phyllis Jones of Buel; and her stepbrothers, Clark Abel (Hilda) and Sherwood Abel (Shirley). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
It is the wish of the family that in lieu of floral offerings a donation be made in Ellen's memory to the National Down Syndrome Society, 1155 15th Street NW, Suite 540, Washington, DC 20005.
