He was predeceased by: his sisters, Marie Bourguignon and Marjory Weglein. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Thomas (Evelyn), Debra (Charlie), Michael (Karen), James, Donna (Mark), Paul (Jill) and Christine; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Julia, James, Catherine, Britteny, Gabrielle, Taylor, Spencer, Lexey, Clay, Michael, Brianne, Rachel, Christopher, Michelle, Laura, Lindsay, Ashley, Michele and Justin.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stony Brook Fire Department or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
