She was predeceased by: her parents, Irma Madden Woody and T. Colson Woody; her husband Arch S. Whitehead of New York; and her son Clarke. She is survived by: her children, Ann Moore, Lynn Whitehead and Colson Whitehead; her sisters, Ida Woody Wells and Irma Francis; her grandchildren, Alex, Chris, Richard, Fig and Beckett; and her children-in-law, Vincent, Jay and Julie.
