With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Poitras of Sag Harbor, New York, who passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Johnsen and Anna Johnsen; and her brother Arnold Johnsen of Staten Island. She is survived by: her husband James; her son Mark (Keira); her granddaughter Raegin of Sag Harbor; and her sister Vera Glen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Whether it was her sitting in the freezing cold to watch her son or granddaughter participate in sports, her making a donation to the long list of animal related charities she supported or her talking into the wee hours of night with family and friends to be an ear, everyone knew they could always count on her love.
