It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vincent C. Slater Sr. of Rye, New York, born in Port Chester, New York, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Slater and Irene Slater (Nee Burns); and his siblings, Robert, James, Winifred and George.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Ann Dempsey; his children, Vincent C. Slater (Marita Valenti), George Slater (Cathy Slater) and Tricia Birdsall (Skip Birdsall); his grandchildren, Kailey Slater, Ryan Slater and Noah Birdsall; and his siblings, Mary, Harold and Mickey.
