John Van Pike Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Van Pike (Russell, New York), who passed away on May 19, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Urbane Pike and Mabel Pike (VanSant); his wife Alice Austin White; his former wife Barbara; and his daughters, Patricia Farnsworth and Darlene George.
He is survived by: his son Kenneth Pike (Wendy) of Russell; his brothers, Richard Pike (Christine) of Canton and Arland Pike of Burlington, VT; his grandson Christopher Hale of Russell; his stepchildren, Becky Kirkpatrick (Ron), Jeaniel Hance (Peter) and Joe White (Debbie) of Russell; his stepgrandchildren, Val Kirkpatrick of Russell, Linda Stone (Dick) of Philadelphia, NY and Josh Kirkpatrick (Micheala) of Potsdam; and his close friend Laura Sharpstene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic, services will be held privately for the immediate family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Russell Volunteer Fire Department or to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
