She was predeceased by: her siblings, Dr. Dorothy L. Davis and Dr. Andy C. Lewter, Sr. (While). She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Simmons and Renee Hye; her siblings, Reverend Maryanne L. McElroy and Dr. Rufus C. Lewter, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Lashawn Hye (Tamika), Kara Hye (Brian), Marqui Hye (Latoya), Joseph Hye (Jasmine) and Brianna Johnson-Simmons. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
