With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernarr C. Schaeffer of Rosendale, New York, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Marion and Gladys. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anderegg; and his sons, Bernarr, James, Jay, Wayne and John. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand and great grandchildren.
A celebration and memorial of his life will be held in the coming months as soon as travel due to covid is not restricted.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice whose nurses and staff were so helpful in this difficult time.
