He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Blondale Brendes; his stepfather Bernard Brendes; and his brother Ralph Brendes. He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Poole Blondale; his children, Kimberly Bullock (John) of Newark, Ron Blondale (April) of Erie, PA and Barry Blondale (Jennifer) of Churchville; his siblings, Nick Brendes, Bernice Hughson (Harold), Karen Lewis and Patricia Hutchinson (Steve); his grandchildren, Lauren Bullock, Megan Bullock, Brittany Merski (Aaron), Brooke Blondale, Ronnie Blondale, Austin Blondale, Aaron Blondale, Alexander Blondale and Andrew Blondale; and his great grandchildren, Saydee Mae Merski and Devin Merski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
