He was predeceased by: his parents, Perley LaValley and Katherine LaValley (Forcier); his siblings, John LaValley, Linda Tougaw, Rose Jordan and Perley LaValley; and his father-in-law Kenneth Dickinson.

He is survived by: his close friends, Roland "Ralo" Wade and Bill "Woody" Woodard; his wife Rose LaValley (Dickinson); his children, Crystal Wheeler (Mike) of Fort Ann and Jeremy LaValley (Krystal) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Emily, Taylor Wheeler, Cameron, Caleb "Lebby" LaValley, Kayla and Savannah LaValley; his great grandchild Aubrey LaValley; his sister Beverly LaCross (Eugene) of Gansevoort; his mother-in-law Loretta Dickinson; and his brother-in-law Robert Tougaw. He is also survived by several brother and sisters in law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be sent to the CR Wood Cancer Center, 102 Park Street in Glens Falls, New York.
