She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McAdams and Ruby Gorr McAdams; her sons, John L. Sherwood and Donald J. Sherwood; her stepchildren, William Paul, Orsal Thomas, Merton L. and Ruth Sherwood; and her brothers, Chares "Buck", Rex and Joel McAdams.
She is survived by: her husband James J. Atkins; her children, Arnold Sherwood (Doreen) of Roscoe, NY and Sandy O'Dell (Brad) of Roscoe, NY; her stepdaughter Polly Philips (Paul) of White Lake, NY; and her siblings, Leila McAdams, Aaron McAdams (Ginny) of McColl, SC and Aquila McAdams (Diane) of Elmira, NY. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
