He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard W. Mumpton and Elizabeth Traxel Mumpton. He is survived by: his wife Diane Mumpton of Sauquoit, N. Y.; his sons, Richard (Antoinette Mumpton), Kevin (Debbie Mumpton) and Brian Mumpton of Rome; his daughter-in-law Lisa Mumpton; his brother Kurt; his sister-in-law Mary Lou Mumpton of Rome; and his grandchildren, Breanna Mumpton, Robert Hughes, Frank Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Tiffany Blaschek, Ben Mumpton and Cameron Mumpton. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home (7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY 13440). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St John the Baptist Church (210 E Dominick St, Rome, NY 13440).
