With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie R. Switzer of Rome, New York, born in Watertown, New York, who passed away on November 5, 2024 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marie R. Switzer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Puccia and Phyllis Puccia of Mary's Academy. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Switzer; her children, Mikki Taylor (Kevin) of Rome and Jerry Switzer of Rome; her daughter-in-law Kim Switzer of Rochester; her grandchildren, Monica Taylor, Derek Switzer, Zak Taylor and Jake Switzer; her siblings, Rose Missert (Dave), Phyllis Wall (Greg), Larry Puccia (Val) and Tony Puccia (Kerin); her son Len Platt (Switzer); and her close friends, Rose, Phyllis and Brandi McCanney. She is also survived by brother-in- laws; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
