He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Messenger Sr. and Helen Shaver; his son Roger Messenger; and his brothers, Steven and Robert Messenger.
He is survived by: his fiancée Gwendolyn "Wendy" Grosjean; his children, Alan Messenger and Lorraine Griffo (Joe); his sister-in-law Zoe Messenger; and his granddaughters, Savannah Messenger and Alyssa Griffin (Ryan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with other extended family.
