In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Janet's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Janet's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as her find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Houle and Doris Elphick Houle; and her husband Ralph C. Schissler, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Ralph Schissler III (Beverly) of Ausable Forks, NY and Diane Hurlbut (Kenneth) of Rome; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Hurlbut (Kyerstan), Aimee Hurlbut, Nathan Hurlbut and Wyatt Merrill. She is also survived by husband, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440-2363). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Janet request's donations be made to the American Heart Association in Nathan's name who was her little heart warrior.
