He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Martin and Antoinnette Martin (Belanger); and his daughter Renee. He is survived by: his wife Diana Testa; his sisters, Karen Holland and Mary Rose Schorer (John); his sisters-in-law, Linda DeSantis and Carole Dapice; his nieces and nephews, Stacey, Ted Borek, Megan Kashman, Lisa, Larry Crossett, Laken, Victor Falcon, Rocco Dapice, Mandy and Jonathan VanDyke; his godchild Jackie Cruz; his brother-in-law Louis DeSantis; and also, Artemis and Apollo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440-2363). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413, an organization that provided comfort and support during his final days.
