He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Shaver and Matilda Shaver (Ritchie); his wife Nancy Janosik of Agatha's Church; his sons, James M. Shaver, Jr., Daniel Shaver (Erica) and Matthew Shaver (Steph); his siblings, Kathleen DeRuby, Kenneth Shaver (Debra) and John Shaver (Deb); his grandchildren, James, Emmeline, Nell and Radley; and also Steve Sislo, Sr.. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc. - Rome (418 N George St, Rome, NY 13440). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (200 N James St, Rome, NY 13440).
