She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Bates and Genevieve Tuttle Bates; her husband Thomas P. Schaller; and her siblings, Emerson, Clayton, Stanley, Charles and Genevieve.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Shank (George), Mary Ellen Zalay, Thomas P. Schaller, Jr. (Lisa), Mark D. Schaller, Cynthia Norman (Philip) and Karen Bickford (Arthur); and her brother Merle Bates. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Heart Association, or a charity of one's choice.
