With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eleanor R. Litwin (Rome, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Tanner of Lee Center, Lori Hammon of Taberg, Rick Gawarecki (Tracy) of Taberg and Walter Gawarecki (Millie) of Lee Center; her grandchildren, Amanda (Paul), Jennifer (Dale), Dan (Christine), Haley (Nathan), Ashleigh (Nick), Keith (Marina) and Daniel (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Caitlin, Brooke, Bailey, Lacey, Jace, Oliver, Darryl, Kennedy and Logan; her niece Pam Mandryck (Eleanor); and her close friends, Sherm Gallay, Tony, Sophie Lattanzio, Lucy Delaney, Sandy and Count Harold.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440-2363). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Joseph's Church (5748 Stokes Lee Center Rd, Lee, NY 13363-2732).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's name may be made to the Lee Center Fire Department and/or St. Joseph's Church.
