He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wilson and Leefa Winner Wilson; his grandson Dakotah Wilson; his daughter-in-law Mary Rose Wilson; and his brother Marc Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Overrocker; his children, Yvonne Piperata (Rob) of Utica, Sherry Wilson (Matt Thompson) of Rome and Todd Wilson of Floyd; his grandchildren, Brooke, Haleigh, Steven, Aleah, Gia, Avery and Alex; his brother Denny Wilson; his sister-in-law Diana Wilson; and his close friend Lucy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440-2363). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donald's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
