He was predeceased by: his father Jose Colon; his siblings, William "Billy" Colon, Jose Juan "Josie" Colon (Anna) of Utica and Josephine "Cale" Colon; his stepson Candido Luis Noti; his cousin Vanessa Colon; and his nephews, Jose "Papo" Colon and Jose "Nego" Colon.
He is survived by: his mother Felicita Colon (Gonzalez) of Utica; his children, Marisol Rodriguez of Utica, David Colon, Jr. of Utica, Alexander Colon of Utica and Kaytie Yager of Utica; the parent of his children Michele Mellito (Noti); his grandchildren, Jeremias Rodriguez, Amari Berkley, Alexander Colon II, Alaiya Colon and Serenity Rodriguez; his sisters, Iris Colon-Santiago (Gloria Brazil) of Utica and Dora Colon-Rodriguez (Efrain) of Utica; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Colon of Utica. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
