He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hubert Gillespie and Ada Gillespie (Clark); his wife Nancy; his children, Andrew A. Gillespie (Cheryl) of Lowville, NY, Kathleen G. Walker (David) of Waxhaw, NC and Annette M. Barron (Scott) of Hilton, NY; and his siblings, Larry Gillespie, Linda Meyer (Robert), Susie Bertollini (Robert), Cindy Emert and Stephen Gillespie.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Saint Cecilia's Church, 17 Grove Street, Adams, NY 13605.
