He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Bowden and Ellen Bowden; his wife Kathleen Sweeney of Liverpool; and his siblings, John, Julia, Patsy and Ellen.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Anthony, Ellen, Kathleen, Pauline, Diana and Patrick; his grandchildren, Nicole, Sal, Anthony, Sophie, Katy and Ian; his great grandchildren, Alan, Gene and Jackson; and his siblings, Kitty and Patrick. He is also survived by his six children.
