He is survived by: his wife Ethel; his children, Carol Faherty (Ryan), John (Emily), Julia Petranek (Michael), Matthew and Moira Caulfield (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Nora, Clare, Colin, Madeline, Margaret, Alice, Patrick, Eleanor, Henry, Owen and Vincent.
