With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew A. Peres of Rockaway Point, New York, who passed away on February 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Matthew may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lucille Peres; his brother John Peres; and his godchild Dana Martino. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc. (3024 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More R. C. Church (204-25 Rockaway Point Blvd., Rockaway Point, New York 11697).
