In the vast expanse of eternity, Gertrude shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gertrude farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest E. Owen and Lavina Chase Owen; her husband Drew Blackburn; and her son John. She is survived by: her children, Richard Blackburn (Lavinia) of Monticello and Lois Babcock (Eddie Houman) of Livingston Manor; and her friend Anneline Keller. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rock Hill Fire House (61 Glen Wild Rd, Rock Hill, NY 12775).
