He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Merman; his daughters, Karen Lynne Merman-Smith (Steve), Kristin Merman Schiechl (John), Linda Merman and Lisa Merman (Jeff Joseph); his grandchildren, Bailey Sauers (John), William Ryan Merman (Teresa), Kristin Graham (Lynn), Marc Schiechl (Kelsie), Taylor Richard (Erinn), Amanda Schiechl, Jordan and Julia Joseph; his great grandchildren, Braden, Amelia Sauers, Jack, Theodore Merman, Bailey, Thalia, Ayla Graham, Mila, Kira Schiechl and Ardea Richard; and his brothers, Richard (Judy) and Steven Merman (Gail Hoyt). He is also survived by niece and three nephews.
