William L. Copperwheat Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2025, at the age of 95, William L. Copperwheat Sr. of Rochester, New York, born in Utica, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Joseph Ciszek, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lois Jean Van Pelt; and his children, Sharon (Joseph), William Copperwheat, Jr., Utica of Gregory Copperwheat, OR, Brian Copperwheat and Carol Schweigert (George). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes - Whitesboro (40 Main St, Whitesboro, NY 13492). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
