It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia I. Garcia MD of Rochester, New York, who passed away on February 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sonia I. Garcia MD to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Sonia farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sonia is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Efren; her sister Norma; and her parents, Ester and Gregorio. She is survived by: her daughter Christine Isana Garcia; her sisters, Nelia Camargo of New York City and Daisy Reodica; her grandson Eostrix of Berkeley, CA; and her brother-in-law Ronnie (Racel).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Cathedral (296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615).
