Shirley R. Ostroff Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley R. Ostroff (Rochester, New York), who passed away on March 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Shirley is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Shirley's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Seymour Ostroff; her parents, Joseph Shapiro and Mary [Stekloff] Shapiro; and her sister Judith Shapiro. She is survived by: her daughters, Ricki Black (Greg), Karen Halloran (Michael) and Michelle Ostroff; her grandsons, Joshua Halloran and Sean Halloran; and her sister Phyllis Marcus. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Britton Road Cemetery (188 Britton Rd, Rochester, NY 14616). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
