He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E Markel and Marie L Casillo; and his son Randy Markel. He is survived by: his sisters, Tammy Egbert (Rochester), Sandy Ayers (Berne) and Tiffany Markel (Buffalo); his nieces, Cristy Egbert, Jamie Liberty and Danielle Adams; and his grandchildren, Brandon Markel and Felicity Finch.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Rochester NY.
