She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Smith and Lillian Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Rashid A. Jarrell and Alfredo J. Aponte; her grandchildren, Nina, Joshua and Jordan Jarrell; and her siblings, Carlotta Clemmons and Pete Villa.
