He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schmeer and Velma Schmeer; his siblings, Margie, Joanne, Virginia, Betty, Roberta, Evelyn, Dorothy, John, William and James; and his close friends, Thomas and Marilyn Gmelin.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Savino Schmeer; his daughters, Sheila Schmeer (Mark Mastrella) and Sherry Thireos; his granddaughters, Tiffany and Ashley Thireos; his great grandchild Evan Zielinski; and his siblings-in-law, Gerold Schmidt and Barbara Miller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
