He is survived by: his children, Michael Sheedy, Pamela Backus (Geoff) and Peggy Oliveri; his grandchildren, Patrick, Corey Backus, Andrew, Joseph and Kimberly Oliveri; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Backus, Rocco Oliveri and Cameron Backus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Barnard Fire Department.
